High Energy Levels At Kg Fundraiser At The Colonial 11Congratulations to everyone who supported the fundraiser at the Colonial Brewery. It was a truly wonderful evening with Charlie McGee and the Formidable Vegetable Sound System providing a fun and vibrant sound to the event. The slightly damp weather did not stop the energetic from dancing to the lively tunes.

High Energy Levels At Kg Fundraiser At The Colonial 12Thanks to Bill and Naomi Fogg for offering the venue and a big thank you to the members of the P&C and friends who worked so hard to make it such a success. Special thanks to Cate Worsley and Deb Salkeld who were instrumental in pulling the event together. Their efforts were great and I feel sure that everyone who attended would have walked away happy and with a strong feeling of community.

High Energy Levels At Kg Fundraiser At The Colonial 13It was great to see the number of entries in the baking competition. The judges agreed that the entries were all delicious and wish to convey their admiration for the creative and tasty efforts that were entered. Congratulations to the winners……but in our eyes, every entry was a winner!

High Energy Levels At Kg Fundraiser At The Colonial 14The face painting and seed bombs were a terrific addition to the activities and the gourmet sausage sizzle had rave reviews. The raffles saw many participants walk away with great prizes and even greater smiles. Thanks to everyone in the community who donated to the raffle draw.

High Energy Levels At Kg Fundraiser At The Colonial 15The Kitchen Garden staff and students will benefit greatly from this event as funds realised will be directed towards the construction of a new shed with adjoining shelter in the north east corner of the garden. Students will be able to escape some uncomfortable moments during those hot summer and cold wet winter days. The new structure will also be available for class instruction before garden activity commences.
What a wonderful event. Perhaps we will do it all again next year!
