SOLE

Sole 1

Students complete SOLE activities as part of their inquiry, to identify key components, generate ideas and focus research. – Mark Harrison

SOLE is an educational concept developed by Professor Sugata Mitra (Professor Educational Technology, Newcastle University, UK) which is an acronym for “self organised learning environment). Students work collaboratively in small accountable groups to complete research on a specific topic within a set time, then present their findings to the whole class and receive feedback.  It hones questioning skills, ICT skills, promotes collaboration and helps students to develop autonomy for their learning in a group setting.
