The Australian Youth Orchestra string quartet visited our school while on a regional tour of W.A. last week. They played to students in the undercover area, holding them enthralled with the haunting sound of their strings and the passion of their performance.
The artists were: Jacinta Ewer on 2nd violin, Bridget O’Donnell on first violin, Benjamin Adler on violin, Elizabeth Woolhough on viola and Bethan Lillierap on Cello.
You can listen to one of their pieces here. [Click on the blue square on the left to play.]
They then performed for our SIMS students in the Music Room, inspiring them with their talent and love of their chosen instruments.
Thank you Ms Helen for organising this special visit to our school! 🙂
