Congratulations to Rooms 10, 11 and 12 for an inspiring and very dramatic assembly on Monday! Students showed the school the enormous amount of work they have done for their Natural Disasters Inquiry, displaying posters, singing songs, sharing interesting facts and their thinking hat reflections on their learning.
Students made a dramatic entrance, striding in past flaming torches held by Carey and Flic, to form a circle of bodies with spitting sparklers at its centre – what an impressive human volcano!
Another highlight was the movie Room 10 created, loosely woven around the epic story of the Parting of the Red Sea. The acting was sublime, blending flashbacks with parody, to create a fast-paced humorous movie.
Bravo Year 6s, Carey, Flic, Kim and Mr Gibbon!
What a fantastic assembly, exciting from start to finish. The human volcano was great, and the movie was hysterical. Keep up the good work everyone!
Fabulous assembly year 6s (and 5s from split classes)! The Parting of the Red Sea Movie was one of the most well produced, acted, and scripted films I’ve seen in a long time. Absolutely side splitting! Congratulations to the classes and their wonderful teachers for such a great production.
