Last week students took home a Waterwise Survey from the Water Corporation to assess and promote good practices when managing water use in your gardens.
“As the Water Corporation plans for our Margaret River region’s water and waterwise needs, we are asking the local community and tourists to join us in achieving water for all – forever.”
The survey is to encourage families to examine their water habits in the garden, and to educate users on how to manage water consumption as up to 60% of water used at home, is used in watering the garden.
Parents and students are reminded to return their survey packages by Monday 19th March. Children need to write their first names and their room number on the package by Monday, 19th March. They may include siblings’ names if they attend MRPS. On 19th March, packages will be collected and participating families will each receive a water timer. Their names will go into a draw for an IPAD 2, which will be announced by Waterwise at our school assembly on Monday 26 March.
