Harmony Day is a day of cultural respect for everyone who calls Australia home – from the traditional owners of this land to those who have come from many countries around the world. By participating in Harmony Day activities, we can learn and understand how all Australians from diverse backgrounds equally belong to this nation and enrich it. Margaret River Primary would like students and parents to dress in their National costume, or that of their favourite country, to help celebrate our diversity. Parents are invited to school at 12.55pm on Harmony Day (Thursday 21 March) for the Grand Parade of National Costumes. We will assemble in the undercover area. Following the Grand Parade parents are invited to bring and share a picnic lunch with their children for Harmony Day.
We encourage our Multicultural community of parents to dress in their National Costume.
We hope to see you there!!
