Img_0070 (Small) (Small)Recently Ms Helen took her T6 music students over to the high school where they were treated to the melodious sounds of traditional Chinese music.  The performance was given by the Hsinchu-Taiwan San Min Primary School Chinese Orchestra on their week-long tour of Western Australia.

Img_0072 (Small) (Small)In their programme, they explained how the performance “showcased a rich cultural repertoire of small ensemble traditional music with all kinds of instruments (Chinese flute, huqin, erhu, pipa, zhongruan, yangquin, Liuqin, cello) with deep melodious tunes, performed solo or as an ensemble.”

It was a fabulous opportunity for students to experience Chinese cultural music without travelling further than across the road.  They really enjoyed the diverse nature of the instruments and appreciated the skill of the performers.
