During the holidays Peter Lawson of Lawson’s Upholstery made new covers for the five sofas in the Music Room, giving them a “new lease on life”. You can see how fresh and inviting they look with the vibrant red cushions. This is the first of a number changes Ms Helen has planned for the Music Room this year to enhance the learning environment in keeping with our Margaret River Primary ethos, creating a warm, safe and inviting learning environment.
Here you can see Year 6 students from Room 11 enjoying the comfy sofas, before participating in The Cup Game, which is a co-ordination and rhythm activity.
Ms Helen said:
Thank you Peter Lawson for your expertise and kind generosity in covering the sofas for us. The kids were delighted and excited when they saw them and they thought they were cool.
Room 11 Year 6 students show their musical co-ordination with this rhythm game. (Try it yourselves and you’ll appreciate how hard it is to move those cups at just the right time …).
