Competitors in the annual Junior Primary Athletics Carnival were greeted with unseasonably mild, damp conditions last Friday morning at Margaret River Primary School.
The weather however did not detract from the students providing enthusiastic and energetic performances to entertain the large crowd on hand on the school oval.
Students participated in running races, as well as obstacle course team relays, egg and spoon relays and sack race relays.
The end of competition saw Earth faction (110 points) narrowly scampering into first place from Ocean (108 points) by only two points. Forest (96 points) and Sun (68 points) were in third and fourth place respectively.
Co-organiser of the carnival Mandy Sinclair said she was really pleased with the students’ performances and was glad that the rain stayed away during the carnival’s running.
