This year’s song, We Are “celebrated the joy of uniting together” (Music Count Us In website) and it was pure joy listening to over 800 beautiful young voices singing these positive lyrics for our 2019 Music Count Us In celebration event! Students started pouring into the undercover area from 9:00 a.m. this morning, in time for the video stream direct from Surfers Paradise, Gold Coast and students were able to share the story of the songwriters and the journey that is “Music Count Us In”.
The music worked its magic and students were a respectful and appreciative audience as we waited for the signal to stand and get ready to sing with the rest of Australia!
Ms Helen was really disappointed to miss the event today, the first time she’s missed a MCUI in 15 years, but she sent her love! Congratulations to both Amys for their collaborative work in preparing students for this special annual event and to our Year 6 volunteers who stood up front to lead students with the signing that went with the song!
Enjoy the video clip!
