The first two Fridays of Term 4 saw virtually all classes between Years 1 and 7 honing and practising their cricket skills, under the watchful eyes of WACA junior development officers Orazio, Nathan and Craig. They are down from Perth running cricket workshops, encouraging students to play cricket and sport in general, at their local community level.
Students were involved in experiencing and practising all facets of cricket including batting, bowling, wicket-keeping, catching, throwing, running between wickets and fielding in a range of station activities designed to suit their year levels and supervised by class teachers.
Orazio complimented our school for the enthusiasm our students demonstrated at all cell levels and said he looked forward to returning to our school soon.
