What a star-studded event it was. It looked like our school had slipped down the rabbit hole and entered the magical world through the looking glass. Pirates, fairies and witches mingled with Hermoines, Harry Potters, The Lorax and Gangster Grannies. The world looked magical, and indeed it was. Book Week brought “Reading is Magic” to life as teachers and students embraced the magic, while book characters strolled around holding the book they belonged to in their hands.
Parading around the oval in year levels, the carnival of characters brought cheers and applause and the effort everyone put in was obvious – a testament to how important reading and imagination are and how different every person’s reading tastes can be.
Bravo readers! Until next year….
