Rights and Responsibilities
I have the right to be respected in this classroom:
- It is my responsibility to respect and appreciate people’s differences and show support for others through positive language and being empathetic to their feelings.
I have the right to be safe in this classroom:
- It is my responsibility to communicate in a positive manner to resolve conflict and maintain successful relationships with my peers. I will report any form of physical, emotional or cyber bullying that I see or experience to staff in an honest manner.
I have the right to hear and be heard:
- It is my responsibility to work quietly both independently and cooperatively with others. I shall show respect by actively listening to instructions and others and raising my hand if I have a question or want to contribute.
I have the right to privacy and my own personal property:
- It is my responsibility to respect both the property of the school and others. I will respect people’s need for privacy and acknowledge personal space and property. I have the right to hear and be heard. It is my responsibility to work quietly both independently and cooperatively with others. I shall show respect by actively listening to instructions and others and raising my hand if I have a question or want to contribute.
I have the right to learn in this classroom:
- It is my responsibility to be an enthusiastic and flexible learner and try my best in all activities. I will show persistence in achieving set goals that challenge me.
I have the right to privacy and my own personal property:
- It is my responsibility to work quietly both independently and cooperatively with others. I shall show respect by actively listening to and others and raising my hand if I have a question or want to contribute.
