As part of the Perimeter Road Project, students have the opportunity to particpate in a tree planting day run by Main Roads. They will be travelling by bus.
The Margaret River Perimeter Road is 7km long and extends from the Airport Access Road north of town through to Bussell Highway in the south. Main Roads are constructing Stage Two of this project, which when complete, will provide an alternative route for heavy vehicles around the town of Margaret River, in order to reduce congestion and enhance safety for pedestrians and local traffic. The students will be planting seedlings into pre-prepared holes, and there are around 1000-1500 seedlings.
