Dscf8566[1] (Small)Thursday 15th May saw three very talented West Australians from the Young Writers Festival present informative sessions to every students at MRPS.

Dscf8568[1] (Small)The day started with Gabriel Evans, an illustrator who dazzled the students with his incredible talent.  Davina Bell and renowned author of the “Our Australian Girl” series spoke expertly about the process of writing a novel.

The third presenter of the day was the graphic novelist, Justin Randall who bewildered the year 6 & 7 students with his detailed art work.

All students came away from the workshops, buzzing with enthusiasm and anxious to get their ideas down on paper.

Thanks to Arts Margaret River for organising the event and MRPS P&C and MR Rotary Club for subsiding the cost.

    Both Benjamin and Samuel really enjoyed the day, I heard all about Gabriel and Justin, the pens and drawing pads were out at our place, feeling inspired. Thank you, what a great experience for all the kids, Emma Glynn.
