What draws country people together more effectively than an Agricultural Show? And we are so lucky to have our very own Margaret River Agricultural Show, held every year at Gloucester Park.
The event kicks off with fireworks on opening night, while by day you can enjoy outdoor events, sideshow alley and fun fair rides.
Special treasures are always to be found inside the Exhibition Hall where artworks sit beside cakes, flowers, fleece and chook eggs!  If you’d looked a little harder and you would have seen the fabulous art display Sally Fawcett (our Art specialist) put up showcasing this year’s MRPS art program across the year groups. Scroll through the categories in the slides below to appreciate the talent on show.
Now, if you’d wandered in the opposite direction in the Hall, you’d have seen our Kitchen specialist, Jodi Hunter, managing the food and cooking displays. She encouraged students to enter artworks made from fresh food, and this is what she had to say,
“This years show was huge!! In the Kids Cooking section there were 90 entries!! Hopefully next year it will break 100!! Massive thanks to all the kids who entered & to Lloyds for their amazing support & prizes.”
Next year, to celebrate our Kitchen Garden program, you might like to think about entering your own food creation!
