The Margaret River Primary School Choir performed at the Indonesian Cultural Performance on the evening of the 28th May. Their performance was a collaborative effort between the Indonesian and Music teachers. The students sang a patriotic Indonesian song, “Halo Halo Bandung” and “Imagine”. This was a unique opportunity for our students to experience Indonesian Culture first hand. Our heartfelt thanks and gratitude to the Indonesian Consulate in Perth for generously sponsoring the event, and bringing the Viatikara Dance Group all the way from Surabaya to perform on the evening. Margaret River Primary School continues to develop partnerships between the Consulate and our Indonesian Language Learners. Thank you to Pak Consulate General Dede Syamsuri, his charming wife Ibu Ella, Pak Syahri and the Administrative staff of the Consulate of the Republic of Indonesia in Perth.
