Today in the garden the jobs were really fun and hard! But the good thing was that we all worked well together.

Some of the amazing jobs we did were harvesting broccoli, planting and watering parts of the garden and composting the BIG PLANTER using a wheelbarrow and shovels. We got rid of the weeds first. One of the groups planted some cherry tomato plants. They are really special because they last for two years.

Will’s job was bug checking. Usually the bugs are fed to the chickens. He found a snail and liked it so much he didn’t want to give it to the chickens – so he put it back in the garden! Foraging In The Kitchen Garden - T13 13

It was our first lesson with the new garden teacher Terri. Terri gave Scarlett the job of finding a recipe for the White Berries. She was excited to be asked and she said she felt important.
