Last Thursday we held our annual health awareness Ride to School Day where students and their families were encouraged to ride or walk to school together.

Img_6179 (Small)What a great response from all of our parents!  Everywhere one looked, there were bikes of every size and style as students and parents arrived at school, and everyone looked like they’d had a good time riding in.

Img_6178 (Small)As students arrived at school, they headed straight for the basketball courts where Year 6 students directed them to their bike parking for the day.  Once they’d parked their bikes, students were rewarded with a healthy fruit snack in the undercover area, prepared by Mr Mcleod and parent helpers.  Img_6184 (Small)The crowded basketball court parking bay just before 9:00 a.m. speaks for itself.  And, even those who couldn’t walk or ride because they had to come by bus were able to participate by walking around the oval before getting their fruit snack.  Thank you to all those who helped make the day go so smoothly.
