After the jumping and throwing events were held mid– week on the school grounds, Green faction held a slight points lead over the other three factions. But when track and games events moved to Gloucester Park, because of the school’s building program, Red, Blue and Green factions all exchanged the lead at different times of the day.
The move to Gloucester Park was generally very well received by all parties, as it allowed the introduction of a number of middle distance running events that were popular with both athletes and spectators. School principal Sinan Kerimofski said it was a very well organised day and paid tribute to athletes, teachers and P & C helpers and parents who assisted in all manner of ways to make the carnival a success.
