On Friday MRPS celebrated the message of healthy living, encouraging parents and students to ride or walk to school for National Ride 2 School Day. The response was fantastic with the bike racks filled to capacity-plus and students participating in organised walk tracks on the oval. Mr Morrison organised healthy fruit which parents helped cut up (and there was a huge amount of fruit which fed the whole school) and the walking track.
Thanks to Liz Angell for her work in promoting and organising this event. Her Year 4s created posters which they hung around the school to promote the event and they have surveyed all classes to reflect on participation and the success of the day. Thank you for all the donated fruit. All-in-all, the day was a huge success for each and every person who participated and for promoting healthy living!
