Fabulous Fun Run 15

The day dawned with bright blue skies and beautiful sunshine for our annual fun run last Friday.  Second time round made a big difference as students from years four to seven boarded buses and lined up at the airstrip, ready to run.  Back at school, students from pre-primary and years one to three moved into position along the oval then ran lap after lap once the hooter sounded.  At every point along both tracks students, parents and teachers joined in to encourage and cheer on the runners.  What a great event it was!  Everybody enjoyed themselves and did their jobs well all the way along the route and back to school.

The Fun Day…

Fabulous Fun Run 20
Going, Going, Gone!

And of course, that was only the first half of the event.  After a yummy lunch organised by the P&C and canteen staff, the real fun began.  The oval filled up with fun activities including: Dunk the Teacher, Tug-of-War, Photography Booth, Face Painting and Spear Throwing, while delicious cakes were on offer at the Cake Stall and Miles Mottershead and his team were worked to a standstill twirling fairy floss for the endless queues of kids.  Entertainment was provided by school bands playing outside on the oval to an appreciative audience, lounging on the grass.  Congratulations to all involved, and especially to Trish Jackson for her leadership and organisation, making this event such a success!
