Mr K has been checking all available weather predictions for Friday, our big fun run event! The decision is that the Fun Run will take place as scheduled. The first bus of runners will leave school at 11:30 a.m. and the juniors will begin their run out on the oval at 12.30 p.m. Lunch will begin at 1:00pm for the juniors and be rolled out (pun!) as the older runners arrive back at school.
However, as the weather is expected to come in after lunch, all the afternoon’s fun activities will be located under cover around the central quadrangle area and in the two Undercover areas. The P&C have organised a popcorn machine! The school bands will be playing in the Music Room. [Bring your lunch and come and listen. 🙂 ] There are a host of games and activities planned, from soccer ball target kicking to face painting and of course, the once-a-year phenomenom – the teacher dunking machine!
So – the advice is to come prepared for the run with hat, sunscreen, sensible shoes etc. but to also bring a towel and change of clothes for the afternoon in case you are caught in a shower.
Don’t forget to bring some coins to spend on your choice of fun activities in the afternoon and for the chance to pay to dunk the teacher!
