Chaplaincy
Our school participates in the chaplaincy project. Our chaplain is Mrs Lynette Wallis. We have had a chaplain in our school for the past three years. The chaplain is involved in pastoral care within our school. The chaplain is not a counsellor or psychologist but a friendly listening ear for those in the school who would like someone to talk to. The chaplain is also involved in programs within the school including the breakfast program, the mentoring program, the 40 hour Famine, Pancake Day, Be a Santa donations, World Kids colouring day, among others.
The chaplain also gets involved in school activities such as sports carnivals, excursions, camps, cultural days and classroom activities. We believe the role of the chaplain enhances our school’s commitment to caring for our students.
